OPSENO

Overview

OPSENO is a modular business platform for small and mid-sized hospitality and retail operators, especially lodges, boutique hotels, and hybrid properties that run a counter and a front desk under one roof.

The product replaces scattered billing apps, hotel software, spreadsheets, and messaging threads with one workspace where sales, guests, staff, and inventory stay connected.

Problem

Operators in this segment often stitch together POS, PMS, kitchen, payroll, and CRM tools that do not share a guest or ledger. A single stay might span room charges, restaurant tickets, shop sales, and partial payments, but reconciliation still happens manually.

Product

Modules can be enabled incrementally: retail & GST billing, front desk and folios, F&B with KOT and kitchen display, CRM and loyalty, HR and India payroll, and an AI copilot with human approval on write actions.

Engineering

Built on Next.js App Router with TypeScript, Zustand for client state, Drizzle ORM on PostgreSQL, and argon2 session auth. Production runs on Vercel with Neon Postgres; local development uses Docker or Homebrew Postgres.

Financial mutations use audit logging and idempotency on API routes. Offline-capable PWA patterns support front-desk and housekeeping workflows when connectivity drops.

Current status

Feature-complete for the coded product backlog; go-live steps include operator-owned payment keys, email delivery, printer QA, and partner channel credentials, documented in the private engineering runbooks.
